Conway Cultural Development Corporation will be changing the organization’s name to Palmetto Placemaking. The organization’s mission and charitable purpose will remain the same. We are developing several new programs with new project partners– stay tuned.

Our Mission

To assist the people of South Carolina in creating and sustaining public places that build strong, vibrant, healthy and connected communities.

For the public’s benefit

With our organization’s mission in mind, we lead projects that address public challenges for places that matter to communities in South Carolina. 

We currently assist in maintenance and enhancements for Eastway Park in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Previously, we led the restoration of the historic Nye’s Pharmacy sign in Conway, South Carolina.

Planning & program development

As a non-profit organization in South Carolina, we are open to collaboration on cultural planning and community arts development projects in communities throughout the state.

We develop sustainable projects for communities with a specific need. With access to the right resources, communities in South Carolina become empowered by their own innate abilities and gain the confidence and tools to fulfill their own potential.

We have experience in developing and leading cultural and strategic planning efforts as well as securing and managing the necessary funding. We previously developed a plan for a cultural district in Conway, South Carolina as well as initiated and led the cultural planning and arts facility development effort for that same community.
